With less than 100 days to go, the Ennore-Manali Road
Improvement Project (EMRIP) is all set to miss its June 3 deadline due
to slow pace of work.

Conceived about a decade ago,
the Rs.600-crore project was meant to clear the congestion woes of the
port. After a substantial delay, Union Shipping Minister G.K. Vasan laid
the foundation stone in January 2011. Till date, the contractors have
completed only 60 per cent of the project work. By June, about 70 per
cent of work would be over.

According to the
sources, the road widening work for nearly 2.1 km could not be taken up
from ChPT zero gate to Kasimedu Fishing Harbour Police Station as there
has been delay in resettlement and rehabilitation of a section of people
residing in NTO Kuppam and Cherian Nagar. Besides, a private party is
occupying a small portion of land at Kaladipet and had approached the
court.

The stakeholders, including the National
Highways Authority of India (NHAI), and port users have approached Chief
Secretary, Sheela Balakrishnan, who has agreed to hear their grievances
on Friday (March 1).

“The initial enthusiasm shown
by the Shipping Minister Mr. Vasan and former Assembly Speaker D.
Jayakumar, who represents the Royapuram constituency, is missing. The
contractor has slowed down the work. Pending works include installing
medians on services road, signages and markings and road topping. The
Collectors of Tiruvallur and Chennai Districts have to come forward to
help us in relocating the tenants,” the stakeholders said.

Of
the 1.6 km stretch from Zero Gate of the Port to Kasimedu Fishing
Harbour Police Station, the NHAI and Tamil Nadu Road Development Company
covered road widening and other works over one half of the stretch.
But, the work came to a halt last week following objections from
fishermenOn its part, an official of the NHAI said it had been seeking
co-operation from all the stakeholders but “help is not forthcoming.” By
June 3, the authority would hand over the project to the port, the
official added.
A separate idol of Thumburu Maharishi is also found.

Now, let us know more about the temple and other information about this Devadanam temple.

Sri Rangam is said to be well known temple in which he gives the seva as "Sri Ranganathar" on Aadhi Seshan. There are lots of temples other than Sri Rangam, the Perumal gives his sayana thirukkolam like Aadhi Rangam, Thirukkadal malai, Thiruvananthapura, etc. Other than Divyadesam, purana - Abimana sthalams, the Perumal also gives the some sayana kolam in various temples also. And one among those temple is Devadanam, where Sri Ranganathar is giving his bhaktas the same sayana kolam as that of the other temple.

The temple is found in Devadanam a small village in Tiruvallore district, Ponneri Taluk. It is said that this that the temple exists for more than years. And it is said that the temple has been donated (danam) by the Devars and because of this, the place is named as "Devadanam".

The temple is found on one part of the Devadanam village. On both sides of the temple, lots of fresh trees are found thus giving a cool breeze air, who are traveling to the temple. We can see main gopuram which greets us. As soon as we enter the temple, we can see the bali peedam and next to it, Kodi maram is found. The huge Dwajasthambam further invites us to enter into the temple. Next to Kodi maram, a separate sannadhi for periyathiruvadi - Sri Garudalwar is found who is facing towards the Moolavar sannadhi.

As we move on further into the temple, we can get the dharshan of the Moolavar. The thirukkolam of the Moolavar reminds us as if we are inside Sri Rangam temple. The Moolavar is very big and he resides on the five faced - Aadhiseshan. The Perumal is facing His thiru mugam towards east direction in Bogha sayana thirukkolam. The beauty of the Perumal has to be explained. The beautiful eyes which is equivalent to the lotus flower, on the entire thiru meni of the Perumal, Salagramam are found. From the Naabhi (the stomach part) Lord Brahma arises and towards the thiru vadi Sri Devi (Thiru magal) and Bhooma devi (Nila Magal) are found. And in the Garbha graham, Thumburu Maharishi holding a small veena and Sri Anjaneyar are found.

Since, the Perumal is in Sudhai nilai there is no thiru manjanam performed for him, only thaila (oil) Kaapu is done. All the thiru manjanam is done for the utsavar only.

Once, we get the dharshan of the Moolavar we can also see Chakkarathalwar. And in the front Mandapam we can see the great Alwars along with Sri Venugopala swamy.

After getting out from the Moolavar sannadhi, while going round the temple, we can see a separate sannadhi for Sri Ranga Nayaki thaayar and after thaayar sannadhi Chakkarathalwar sannadhi is found. Further going round the temple, a Putrukovil (ant hill) is found and it is believed that this putru exists for so much of years.

And near the putru Kovil, a Pavazha Malli (Parijatham) tree is found which is the sthalam viruksham of the temple.

Further, as we more we can see the thiruvadi of the Perumal and further towards this, Sri Hanuman sannadhi found.

It is believed that worshipping Lord Ranganatha by lighting ghee lamps for seven Saturdays and also worshipping Lord Nagaraja of the snake hill shrine will definitely result in the fulfillment of all the wishes and prayers of the devotees. All obstacles regarding marriages are removed. Reasonably good job opportunities are assured. Childless devotees are blessed with children.

And finally, if we come out from the temple, our heart and thought are filled with joy after getting a beautiful dharshan of the Perumal. So, Bhakthas, why still a wait... just march towards this great Devadanam temple of Sri Ranganathar.Gopinath.swehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09135163289820442068noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1727892402247948121.post-69429061068279948522010-12-12T00:52:00.000-08:002012-02-06T19:53:53.632-08:00Shree Chandraprabhu Jain College - Jobs in MinjurJob Title : Wanted Lecturer in Commerce
College name : Shree Chandraprabhu Jain College
Place : Minjur
Post Date : 16/11/2010
Qualification : University norms
Details : Candidates who are highly qualified and well experienced teaching faculty-Requires
Exp : 2 to 3 years
Salary Information : Salary Commensurates with experience.
Postal Address : Shree Chandraprabhu Jain College
Ariyanvayal Village
Minjur - 601 203
Tiruvallur
Tamilnadu
India

From : http://cjobs.in/Morejobdes_search.php?job_id=1412

Gopinath.swehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09135163289820442068noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1727892402247948121.post-1651190208011881042010-12-08T01:07:00.000-08:002012-02-06T19:54:14.080-08:00Sri Vaani Beauty ParlourConact Details:
No 168, T.H. Agitated fellow students pelted stones at trains, damaged railway property and held up train traffic for over three hours. The accident happened at 1.30pm.

Parameshwar, 19, Vijay Kumar, 20, and Vinod, 20, students of a nearby college, died on the spot, while four others — Majid, 20, Jaya Kumar, 20, Daniel Raj, 23, and Raj, 20 — have been admitted to a hospital with severe injuries.

Students who were protesting the death of their collegemates, pelted stones at the Darbanga-Bangalore Express which was stopped after the accident. They also targeted two suburban trains that came into the station.

According to a senior railway official, although the victims had spotted the train, they were not aware that it was running on the track they were crossing. He added that collegemates of the victims became violent and could be pacified only after much persuasion. Many commuters were also affected by the incident.

Two suburban trains on the Gummidipoondi route were cancelled and three suburban trains had to turn back at Tiruvallur, Ennore and Minjur because the students held up the traffic. Long distance trains, including the Chennai-Rameswaram Express, Chennai-Bhubanes-war Express, Chennai-Vijayawada Pinakini Express and Bangalore-Patna Express, were delayed. These trains which had departed from Chennai were delayed by nearly three hours. Incoming trains from Kolkata and Bangalore were also held up before Minjur.Gopinath.swehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09135163289820442068noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1727892402247948121.post-60884150640497814612010-10-01T11:09:00.000-07:002012-02-06T19:58:10.563-08:00Minjur Train AccidentSpot : Minjur Railway Station
Date : 01 Oct 2010
From : Express News Service

One college student died on the spot and five others sustained grievous injuries in a train accident near Minjur railway station here on Thursday.
Six students of Chandra Prabhu Jain College, Minjur, were walking on the railway track after college to the Minjur railway station.
