D.V.S.Reddy Higher Secondary School is the only Golden Jubilee school (1955 - 2010) in this area in which many scholars of the society had studied.The former minister K.Sundaram,DMK had studied in this school. It was started by the then D.V.Subramania Reddiar who is one of the landlords of Minjur who had given a shape even to the city.He contributed over five acres of land to the school and the playground and now it can accommodate a total strength of 1200 students.
